Here are the headlines for Friday 24, 2018:
While the White House and President Trump were still recovering were from two major events; Manafort, Trump’s former campaign manager, was found guilty on a fraud case where a Virginia jury convicted him on eight counts and Cohen with no cooperation agreement with prosecutors, pleaded guilty to eight counts and said he was ‘directed’ by an individual (Trump) to violate campaign finance laws. Both were extensively covered in the news. He received a new one much bigger than both. His Trump Organization executive, his chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg got an immunity deal. Mr. Weisselberg is both a bookkeeper and a key executive running the organization. His immunity deal came a day when American Media Inc. publisher David Pecker received also an immunity.
Trump felt betrayed by his long-time personnel lawyer and he called him a ‘RAT,’ on the other hand he praised Paul Manafort for not ‘breaking’ under pressure and there is news that he is contemplating the idea of giving him a presidential Pardon.
On such an occasion the President will rely on his smart phone Twitter account and start Tweeting to let all his frustration out or better go to his friend from FoxNews to run an interview for him.
But to everybody’s surprise, from people close to him or those who opposes him, Mr. President decide along with the First Lady Melania to leave all crises behind them and acted as a presidential couple in a rare united front and went together to the Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus where later attended a fundraiser and he delivered an address at the Ohio Republican Party’s state dinner.
During this visit Mr. President and the First Lady were accompanied by Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar, where after a visit to the hospital the President sat next to these children, heavily concentrating in coloring the American Flag in a red color like his tie and heart, who were watching the president indulging and enjoying himself.
President Trump’s trip to Ohio may have been a welcome diversion from all the hassle of politics and the destruction that might deviate him from exercising his humanitarian side that the sick children of Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus were surprised but appreciate of this compassionate act. Looking at the photos you feel that president was really enjoying his painting skills as much as the kids themselves.
The President is entitled to show his compassionate side from time to time especially to children, who care less for politics, but they care for people to stand by them and comfort them.
I hope that the president got this vibe from the children and he will end up repeating this warm act frequently.
